Demo version has a limitation of displaying only up to three files in a folder. Its sole purpose is to test, try and explore the application's feauters.
The application requires Microsoft .NET framework version at least 4.0 to be installed. If the installer displays error message concerning .NET version, the problem can possibly be fixed by installing the newest version of the framwork. At the time of editing this document, the newest version is 4.5 and it can be downloaded from Microsoft page

In case of Windows XP, the latest supported version of .NET framework is 4.0. Download link from Microsoft page.
Windows 8 users, please note that, the new start screen does not display shortcut to user's manual PDF file for the program. However it is still available in the application's installation directory.
When running program files, some antivirus software (e.g. Avast) checks the EXE file's hash and sends the value to their servers in order to measure how popular among all antivirus users the file is. Small number of users that have ever run particular file may indicate, that the file is somehow suspicious. At the moment of publishing this site, due to the author's poor marketing skills, the application's executable file is rather not prevalent. Consequently, such antivirus programs may try to run Simple File Annotator in kind of restricted environment (technically called sandbox) to prevent it from circumventing the system's security mechanisms. In such cases, it is necessary to indicate to the antivirus program that Simple File Annotator is fully trusted application. Otherwise, the application might crash or behave in an unpredictable way.
